Tuai Barat is a thoughtfully planned 6.6-acre community with 330 homes, set within a peaceful low-rise neighbourhood. From the very beginning, we asked ourselves how this development could feel safe, comfortable, and welcoming for everyone who lives here. A dedicated pedestrian bridge links the car park, residential towers, and clubhouse, creating a safe, vehicle-free route that makes daily movement easy for all ages.
At the heart of the project is the “MAGIC” concept — Multi-Ability, Multi-Generational, Inclusive Communities, a term coined by Dr. Bill Thomas. In simple terms, it’s about designing a place where children can play freely, adults can gather comfortably, and the elderly can move around with confidence. We carefully considered accessibility, shared spaces, and everyday convenience to support independent living while keeping families closely connected.
The architecture takes inspiration from the lifecycle of padi fields — from fresh green shoots to golden harvest — symbolising how generations grow together over time. This idea is expressed through the woven façade, representing the bonds between people and place. Combined with warm landscaping and welcoming arrival spaces, Tuai Barat is designed as more than just housing — it’s a community where meaningful moments can grow and flourish.
