Huni – A Place to Live, Simply and Comfortably
Huni, meaning “to reside” or “to inhabit,” is designed around the idea of simple, essential living. Instead of adding unnecessary ornamentation, we focused on what truly matters — comfort, security, reliability, and spaces that make everyday life easier.
In planning the floor plates, we carefully organized the layout into clear zones for living, resting, and service. Through multiple design studies and refinements, we worked towards the most efficient arrangement — reducing wasted circulation, maximizing usable space, and ensuring the homes can adapt to residents’ changing needs over time.
The façade is designed to be both visually engaging and honest in its expression. Clean rectilinear forms were chosen for durability and ease of maintenance, while the material palette emphasizes long-term performance. Together, these elements create a strong and coherent architectural identity that will age gracefully.
Environmental design was also an integral part of the process. The building is thoughtfully oriented to optimize natural daylight and encourage cross-ventilation, reducing reliance on artificial cooling and lighting — a practical and responsible response to our tropical climate.
